Festival show at Lions and Barrels on Saturday 4 February 2012
We are proud to announce that Symbolizer will play a show on Saturday 4 February 2012 at the LB Mini Metal Festival at Lions and Barrels which is on the ground floor of the north east corner of Parken at Øster Alle 46, DK-2100 Copenhagen Ø. This will be an indoor festival with a number of bands such as Symbolizer, Downswitch, All the Demons, Blessing the Unknown, Haltefanden, The Columbian Necktie, Waiting for Sedna, Chainfist, Betrayer of Light, Nembience, Atius and Diretone performing on two stages. Symbolizer's CD album Thanatos Unleashed will be for sale there at a special festival price. See you all there for a night of metal meltdown and extravaganza!

Show at Lygten Station on Friday 27 May 2011
We are happy to announce that Symbolizer will play a show at Lygten Station in Copenhagen on Friday 27 May 2011. On this evening we will share the stage with fellow metal bands Eciton, The Absent and My Emmisary. The entrance is 40 DKK and the beers are 25 DKK. The address is Lygten 2, 2400 København NV (right next to Nørrebro Station), and the doors will open at 8:30 PM. See you there for a night of metal!

Symbolizer has found a new drummer
We are happy to announce that Symbolizer has found a new drummer, Lars Østerberg. Lars is an experienced drummer who has played with a number of metal bands before; among them King Diamond Jam. We welcome Lars to the band!

Symbolizer debut CD album Thanatos Unleashed released in Germany and The Netherlands
Today is a day of big celebration in the Symbolizer camp as we are very happy to announce the release of our long-awaited full-length debut CD album Thanatos Unleashed! On Friday 3 December 2010, Symbolizer signed a consignment deal with Hellion Records in Germany, which means that the CD is now officially released and for sale from Hellion Records.
The CD contains eight songs which are well-known classics from countless Symbolizer concerts: Paradox, Thanatos Unleashed, Politicians, Illusive Future, The Ministry, A World in Flames, Transfixed in Time and Destructive Fanatic.
You can buy the CD in two ways:
Firstly, you can buy it worldwide via mail order directly from Hellion Records' German website (Go to www.hellionrecords.de ---> Search).
Secondly, you can ask for the CD in record shops in Germany and the Netherlands,

Show at Mosten MC Raceday on 2 September 2011
Symbolizer will play a show at the Mosten MC Raceday event near Allingaabro on
Friday 2 September 2011. Mosten MC Raceday is a recurrent event with lots of motorcycles and rock'n'roll - a classic, notorious mixture which is sure to ignite the flames of passion. We are very much looking forward to coming back and playing a show in Jutland again. See you there!

New band name
Due to an increasing number of bands worldwide using the band name Symbolic and thus creating a risk that we might be mistaken for them, we have decided to change our band name to Symbolizer. We have been happy to use the name Symbolic for many years now, but we feel that Symbolizer has many advantages. It solves the band name confusion problem; it is more unique than Symbolic, and yet it retains most of the sound and meaning of the old name. So exit Symbolic - enter Symbolizer! Hence from today our web address is www.symbolizer.eu which also has links to our MySpace and Facebook websites.

We are happy to announce that Symbolic will play a show at the metal venue Obscene at Eriksvej 40, 4000 Roskilde on Saturday 26 December 2009. This will be our first ever show in Roskilde and we are very much looking forward to it. Doors open at 8 p.m. and Symbolic will hit the stage at 10 p.m. Obscene is a 10-minute walk from Roskilde station. Come and celebrate your metallic holidays with us in Roskilde!
